GRIT - I love seeing this characteristics in kids as I believe it's one of the key ingredients between a good athlete and great athlete! I wish there was a magic potion to install grit in my kids, but I'm starting to learn/accept that instilling grit takes patience on my part. After reading TrueSport's article "Grit: How to Get Back Up After Failure", I have set 2 goals for myself:
1. Constantly work on my relationship with my kids to build a trusting and caring relationship.
2. Allow my kids to fail, and be there for them to turn the failure into a teachable moment.
Please wish me luck!
